New £10 note enters circulation today.

Austen features the new £ 10 note.
Jane Austen is the only woman – apart from the Queen – to feature on an English bank note. As well as Austen's portrait, there is a quote from Pride and Prejudice : "I declare after all there is no enjoyment but reading!"
The new note is slightly smaller than the old one. It is made of polymer and not paper. There are 8 security features on it.
The old £10 note will be withdrawn from circulation in Spring 2018.
